Meet Gail
Gail Whitley began her tailoring business like many great entrepreneurs do—she realized she had a talent for it. The day came while altering her daughter’s wedding dress; her work was beautiful and exquisite…and it did not go unnoticed. From there, she found herself hemming and taking-in bridesmaids’ gowns for a bridal shop.
Part of what Gail feels sets her industry apart is that she enjoys a challenge. She loves nothing more than taking on a seemingly hopeless dress alteration and making it work beautifully. Gail has even met with clients who were turned down by four other tailors daunted by the task, yet, she was able to make it a success. She loves transforming a store bought dress into something completely original. You could say, she is a master of fabric. And with 23 years of experience under her belt, it’s easy to see why.
No matter the fit or what ideas you have in mind, Gail will work her magic so that the dress will truly become yours.
Meet Tatum
Tatum Roach is Gail’s assistant at The Dress Whisperer. Tatum is a 2019 graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in fashion design. The Dress Whisperer thrives with Tatum’s help fitting ladies into their dream dresses.
